DESCRIPTION:\nOSPARK Online Workshop\nCo-organised by OLS and DRA\, the O
SPARK Bootcamp aims to support open research ambassadors to create visibil
ity for their open research initiatives through outreach and marketing. It
  consists of a 6-week interactive online course and a two-day in-person wo
rkshop.\nThis online workshop forms part of the OSPARK research programme.
We are using the information we gather to inform the development of the O
SPARK Bootcamp.\nNo prior communication or marketing experience needed —
just bring your curiosity and commitment to supporting open and FAIR rese
arch.\nWhat does this workshop involve?\nThis workshop will start with a ~
1 hour training session on digital outreach\, marketing\, and communicati
ons for open research advocates. This will involve learning about key conc
epts and how you can apply them to your own open research initiative.\nWhe
 ther you're involved in a library\, IT service\, data management team\, re
search support office\, or run your own local open research initiative\, t
his workshop will help you:\n\n\nUnderstand common challenges in outreach
and engagement\;\n\n\nLearn practical strategies for promoting research su
pport services\;\n\n\nExplore examples of effective communication and comm
unity-building.\n\n\nThe workshop will then move to ~1 hour discussion gr
oups. You will be randomly placed into breakout rooms with 1-9 other parti
cipants and a facilitator. We will provide you with a notes template to he
lp to guide your discussion. We hope to collect qualitative data about:\n\
nyour experiences of outreach activities for open research initiatives\;\n
barriers to engaging in outreach activities\;\nyour training needs in rela
tion to outreach\, marketing\, and communications for open research initia
tives.\n\nWhile data collection is an important part of the discussion gro
up\, we also hope that it will provide you with a space to connect with pe
ers\, exchange ideas\, and learn from each other.\nWhere can I find more i
nformation about the research?\nPlease read the participant information sh
eet for this study before registering. It will provide you with more infor
mation about how and why the research is being conducted\, including data
sharing policies.\nThe full study protocol\, materials\, and data manageme
nt plan are available on Zenodo.\nI can't make this workshop. Can I still
take part?\nYes! There is another OSPARK Online Workshop planned for Monda
 y 24th August.\nIf you're not able to join either workshop\, please consid
er completing our survey so that we can understand your needs.\nWhat if I
would rather join the full training?\nThe third OSPARK Bootcamp will take
place online and in Zurich\, Switzerland. More information is available on
the OSPARK Bootcamp Zurich event page.\nOrganisers\n        \nThe OS
PARK Bootcamp is developed in collaboration of the Digital Research Academ
y and OLS and supported by the OSCARS consortium to strengthen open scien
ce capacity across Europe.\n\nOSCARS is a four-year EU-funded project that
strives to foster the uptake of Open Science in Europe by consolidating t
he achievements of world-class European research infrastructures in the ES
FRI roadmap and beyond into lasting interdisciplinary FAIR data services a
nd working practices. The project aims to strengthen the role of the Scien
ce Clusters in the ERA by developing domain-based Competence Centres and b
y fostering the implementation of Open Science projects funded through a c
 ascading grant mechanism.\n \n\nhttps://events.digital-research.academy/e
