DESCRIPTION:\nOSPARK Online Workshop\nCo-organised by OLS and DRA\, the O
SPARK Bootcamp aims to support open research ambassadors to create visibil
ity for their open research initiatives through outreach and marketing. It
  consists of a 6-week interactive online course and a two-day in-person wo
rkshop.\nThis workshop forms part of the OSPARK research programme. We are
using the information we gather to inform the development of the OSPARK B
ootcamp.\nNo prior communication or marketing experience needed — just b
ring your curiosity and commitment to supporting open and FAIR research.\n
What does this workshop involve?\nThis workshop will start with a ~1 hour
training session on digital outreach\, marketing\, and communications fo
r open research advocates. This will involve learning about key concepts a
nd how you can apply them to your own open research initiative.\nWhether y
 ou're involved in a library\, IT service\, data management team\, research
support office\, or run your own local open research initiative\, this wo
rkshop will help you:\n\n\nUnderstand common challenges in outreach and en
gagement\;\n\n\nLearn practical strategies for promoting research support
services\;\n\n\nExplore examples of effective communication and community-
building.\n\n\nThe workshop will then move to ~1 hour discussion groups.
You will be randomly placed into breakout rooms with 1-9 other participant
s and a facilitator. We will provide you with a notes template to help to
guide your discussion. We hope to collect qualitative data about:\n\nyour
experiences of outreach activities for open research initiatives\;\nbarrie
rs to engaging in outreach activities\;\nyour training needs in relation t
o outreach\, marketing\, and communications for open research initiatives.
\n\nWhile data collection is an important part of the discussion group\, w
e also hope that it will provide you with a space to connect with peers\,
exchange ideas\, and learn from each other.\nWhere can I find more informa
tion about the research?\nPlease read the participant information sheet fo
r this study before registering. It will provide you with more information
about how and why the research is being conducted\, including data sharin
g policies.\nThe full study protocol\, materials\, and data management pla
n are available on Zenodo.\nWhat if I would rather join the full training?
\nThe third OSPARK Bootcamp will take place online and in Zurich\, Switzer
land. More information is available on the OSPARK Bootcamp Zurich event pa
ge.\nI can't make this workshop. Can I still take part?\nYes! There is ano
ther OSPARK Online Workshop planned for Wednesday 5th August.\nIf you're n
ot able to join either workshop\, please consider completing our survey so
that we can understand your needs.\nOrganisers\n        \nThe OSPARK
Bootcamp is developed in collaboration of the Digital Research Academy an
d OLS and supported by the OSCARS consortium to strengthen open science c
apacity across Europe.\n\nOSCARS is a four-year EU-funded project that str
ives to foster the uptake of Open Science in Europe by consolidating the a
chievements of world-class European research infrastructures in the ESFRI
roadmap and beyond into lasting interdisciplinary FAIR data services and w
orking practices. The project aims to strengthen the role of the Science C
lusters in the ERA by developing domain-based Competence Centres and by fo
stering the implementation of Open Science projects funded through a casca
 ding grant mechanism.\n \n\nhttps://events.digital-research.academy/event
