DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Elio Balestrieri\n\nThe Python programming language 
 is enjoying great popularity in Scientific Computing due to its ease of us
 e and its vast ecosystem of available software packages. However\, due to 
 the explosive growth of the number of available Python packages\, complex 
 dependency trees are becoming an increasing concern for the maintainabilit
 y and reproducibility of Python software.\nThis workshop provides a practi
 cal guide to uv\, a powerful tool designed to facilitate the whole experie
 nce of working with Python code and dependencies.\nThe workshop will intro
 duce the core functionalities of uv\, from the efficient execution of stan
 dalone scripts and the management of project environments using lockfiles 
 to structuring\, building\, and shipping your own project for public distr
 ibution.\nBy the end of the course\, researchers will have a streamlined t
 oolkit to ensure their computational work is both sustainable and easily s

 nWhy am I teaching this course\nBecause during my research work I first-ha
 nd experienced the frustration of dealing with other python package manage
 rs\, and I was amazed when I discovered this one. And because I think that
  the first step to reproducibility in science is to make it easy.\nWho am
