This course offers a hands-on introduction to Linux, tailored for everyday use in High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. Participants will learn essential commands and workflows to navigate and work efficiently on Linux-based compute clusters through interactive sessions and practical exercises.

  • Creating, moving, and deleting files and directories
  • Viewing and editing files in the terminal
  • Understanding file permissions and ownership
  • Using pipes and redirections
