This seminar combines theory and praxis for a prompt introduction into apptainer, a container platform for HPC-applications.

Learning objectives

• understand the role of containers in HPC
• learn practical concepts to create and execute apptainer containers
• integration of apptainer into HPC-workflows (MPI, GPU usage)
• security aspects and best practices for containers in multi-user HPC-systems
